5. are you excited about setting intentions too?!

Welcome to the half way point of 2024! I feel pretty chuffed that todays newsletter lands on the 30th of June, I love nothing more than an intention setting session and mid year is the perfect time to reflect and refocus for the remainder of 2024.

I do tread lightly in my intention setting sessions, I no longer set strict resolutions or massive goals that I'll inevitable fail!

We want more joy in our lives, not more rules!

I believe we should reflect on what we've achieved and focus on what is joyful in our life, what we can do to support ourselves to achieve even more and daydream our vision for the future.

So for about an hour today, this is what I will be doing. Grab your journal and take a little time for yourself x

Grounding
This is to connect with ourselves and ground into this session.
Spend about 5 minutes here.
Wherever you are sitting make yourself as comfortable as you can.
Drop your shoulders, soften your jaw.
Feel into the parts of you that are connected with the surface below.
Allow your body to sink into these parts; the soles of your feet, your bottom, legs.
Gently inhale and exhale, stay here for as long as you like.
Connecting to yourself, your breath and the ground below.
When you are done, wiggle your toes and give your body a little stretch.

Reflect
Jot down 3 things you are proud of from the first half of the year.

Gratitude
List at least 3 things that are bringing you happiness right now.

Intentions
Do you have a goal you'd love to achieve in the next six months? Or an intention you want to see though? This doesn't have to be massive or complex. One of my intentions is to record some new meditations. I love writing and recording, but it is also a little scary, so I want to push myself a little.

Self-care
List 3 things you can do that will support your goals and also your wellbeing.
This might be something like having a massage every six weeks, going phone-free on Sunday or meditating more often

Journal
Daydream! Allow yourself to play in your imagination and write down your vision for the future. I don't think we give daydreaming enough credit, but this is where creativity lives. This is where we can create our lives.

Card Pull
I love oracle and affirmation cards! They are not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think they are fun and often really beautiful in their messages. I’ve pulled an affirmation card for all of us and I think it is perfect!

I AM ALWAYS EVOLVING

Wherever I am in life, I am always evolving and changing in miraculous ways. I am gentle and patient as I experience growing pains and trust that new insight and renewed energy will return to me in perfect timing. Musings from the Moon

Meditation
End your intention session with a meditation. I have an affirmation meditation on Insight Timer that finishes off this session beautifully!

Go gently with yourself today lovely one, this is precious work diving into our achievements and dreams x

This week’s Mindful Three are my favourite oracle cards

  1. Moonology Messages Oracle Cards
I have quite the love affair with the moon, so naturally I HAD to buy these cards!

  2. Self Love Affirmation Cards
These cards are by a local Geelong artist Jenna, I adore her illustrations and prose.

  3. Work Your Light Oracle Cards
This was one of the first decks I bought, they are really beautiful and I use them at the start of each year and pull one card for each month.
